Based on its geographical location, Sri Lanka receives rainfall throughout the year, making it a country with fertile soil. This allows us to achieve self-sufficiency through agriculture. To achieve this, the following steps should be taken:

1. Utilizing Cultivable Paddy Lands Efficiently
   Paddy fields that can be cultivated in Sri Lanka should be used for rice cultivation on a large scale, employing mechanized farming instead of traditional manual methods. Farmer organizations should be transformed into agricultural institutions capable of managing large-scale cultivation. These institutions should oversee the harvesting of all paddy fields in a given area simultaneously. Landowners should receive profit shares based on the extent of their land ownership.
    
2. Utilizing Small and Unproductive Paddy Lands
   Small paddy fields and lands unsuitable for rice cultivation should be allocated for alternative crops. Proper plans should be formulated, and necessary approvals should be granted for this purpose.
    
3. Enhancing Value-Added Export Production
   The export of tea, coconut, and rubber should be further developed with value-added products to increase foreign earnings.
    
4. Standardizing the Spice Industry
   Since Sri Lanka produces some of the world's finest spices, it is essential to establish quality standards to maintain their reputation and ensure their competitiveness in the global market.
    

By implementing these measures, Sri Lanka can strengthen its agricultural sector and achieve long-term self-sufficiency

• කුඩා ලියදි සහ ගොයමට සුදුසු නැති කුඔුරු වෙනත් වගාවන් සදහා යොදා ගත යුතුයි. ඒ් සදහා කෙටුම්පත් සකස් කර අවසරය ලබා දිය යුතුයි. 
• තේ, පොල්, රබර් අපණයන කරමින් තවදුරටත් වැලිව් ඇඩඩ් කරමින් නිෂ්පාදනයන් අපනයනයට ඒක් කල යුතුයි. 
• ලොව හොදම කුළුබඩු ලංකාවේ නිෂ්පාදනය වන නිසාම, මේ සදහා ප්‍රමිතියක් නිර්මාණය කලයුතුයි. ඒ් අනුව ඒහි තත්වය රැකගන්නට අපට හැකිවේවි.
